Meet Stephanie
From healing hands to helping Lyme –
Stephanie Lombardo, RN & volunteer EMT, has called Lyme home since 1979. She raised her family here, now including grandchildren, and has deep roots in the community she loves. Stephanie believes in showing up and doing good wherever help is needed.
For years, that’s meant volunteering her time: helping care for animals, supporting hospital patients, and simply being present. Whether she’s easing a nervous cat at Forgotten Felines or sitting with a patient who needs a listening ear, Stephanie brings the same steady compassion to everything she does.
That same spirit of service led her, after retiring from a 30+ year career as a postoperative inpatient nurse, to look for her next way to give back. She missed the purpose, camaraderie, and the simple act of being there to help when someone needs you. In 2023, she answered that call by joining Lyme EMS as a volunteer EMT.
