An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a portable device that can help restart a heart during sudden cardiac arrest. It’s designed for everyday people and gives clear, step-by-step voice instructions so you know exactly what to do.
Why AEDs matter:
Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere. Survival chances drop 7–10% for every minute without CPR or defibrillation. Using an AED quickly can double or even triple survival rates.
What to know:
AEDs are safe—they will only deliver a shock if it’s needed
